About Terra & Tu

Terra & Tu Cultural Journeys bring you into the lived stories of a place. The company is founded on the belief that travel is most powerful when it invites us to experience how other people live, to understand what they value, and to appreciate the richness of enduring traditions that shape lived experience.

Founder Finlay Bressler was steeped in the ethos of experiential travel from a young age. His father, Ben Bressler, founded Natural Habitat Adventures in 1985, focused on small-group journeys dedicated to conserving nature and wildlife. While Finlay also loves the natural world, he iss deeply drawn to people and cultures, and their relationship to place. Initially, Finlay worked in the mental health field, where he was fascinated by how many modern wellness movements, from mindfulness to locavore eating, tap into deeply held cultural practices. That curiosity led to a defining question: What would travel look like if it were designed not around monuments and checklists, but around cultural insight and meaningful encounters with local people and traditions in enduring communities?

Terra & Tu grew from that curiosity. In 2025, Natural Habitat Adventures partnered with Terra & Tu to launch a new collection of cultural journeys that focus on local life, experienced directly through authentic personal engagement rather than staged performance. Built on Nat Hab's decades of operational expertise and a proven small-group model, Terra & Tu brings the same meticulous design and high standards into the cultural realm.
